Throughout my student career at the University of South Carolina, I have studied as a nursing student, Navy ROTC student, and have finally decided on Exercise Science as a passion, and I am currently striving to become a Doctor of Chiropractic. Personally, I have found a love for education and the pursuit of knowledge, and I believe that a life of reading and by bettering myself through learning will take me to great heights. I have a passion for classical and romantic literature, especially such authors as Oscar Wilde, Fyodor Dostoyevsky, William Shakespeare; and have read widely up through the American Post-modernists. I find the human body fascinating, and cannot emphasize enough the importance of science in our daily lives. Through a thoroughly examined life and a scientific mentality, we can truly discover the world around us (and the world inside us). Finally, my love of music cannot be quenched, and I am always intrigued by its hold on us culturally. I have a very wide-reaching ear, and can recognize the greats of classical music, up through my roots in classic rock, to the more modern, mellow indie and the heavy-hitting electronic genre. I play guitar avidly, and know music theory from my history of being a piano player. To quote the late, great Richard Feynman, "Nearly everything is really interesting if you go into it deeply enough." A man termed the "great explainer," he is an incredible icon in American physics, and is a wonderful role model for tutors and students everywhere. Thank you for your time and consideration.
